I am a local of dartmouth, but dont plan on dancing in dartmouth.I was considering starting out local though for a night or two just to learn the ropes a little bit. If i wanted to start at ralphs who do i talk to and is there any fees to pay? Do i have to audition first or should i go on amatuer night? what are the shows set up like, and how many times do you get up on stage to do a show? if you can help please do, thanks lots. :)

It's the law in Nova Scotia to have a three foot barrier between the dancer and customer, it's not the bar's rules. the management is awsome, Linda really cares about the dancers. If your fine with just making stage tips, then you don't really have to hussle. Its where I work when I want to take time off. The money can be decent if you get a payed booking.

My overall veiw is not to go out of your way to go there unless you can get in as a feture ; or if you are going to be passing by. The management is very strict with the rules. The dances are all non touch. not even air danceing . you dance on a small stage and HAVE to be 3 feet from the customer . A dancer and customer can't even pass something between each other. Like when he pays . he has to put it on the table and you pick it up off the table. The same gose for the main stage. All tips have to go on the stage. The customers are mixed and most travlers expect thing to be like it is at home. And a lot of travlers come from places that have touch. So you do have to work on selling the three feet away dances. There is shower shows also. If you have long hair the are not too hard to sell. The private dance set up is a little strange. the customer has to go to the coat check to buy a voucher for 15$. He gives the dancer the voucher for one dance. if he wants more he pays her 10$ every song. The dancer get 10$ when she cashes it in. Same set up for shower showes but it is 30$ and the dancer gets 20$. And it is 25$ every song after and the dancer gives the bar 5$. I think that is most of it if anyone wants more info you can pm me. Miss Eliza
