| Hiring Tips: It's not particularly hard to get hired, but you need to be an experienced dancer for the night shift. |
Additional Information
I've been there four 2 and a half months.
Fees: at least $10/ 10% of earnings to the DJ (you'll have to pay that twice if you work mid), $40 house fee, $5 to the house mom, $10 to the floor, and a $10 stay over fee if you're working mid/day and stay past your shift (which happens from time to time)
Management: It's rather corporate but lenient. You don't get a schedule but are expected to show up at least 3 times a week (though they don't seem to bat an eyelash when you show up 2 times a week...much less at all). You're given an armband- yellow if you're under 21, orange if you're 21+as you're not allowed to drink on the floor. You'll also be breathalyzed at the end of the night
Crowd: It's mixed during the day but mostly black during the night. You can make it through the night if your stage shows aren't particularly good...but it doesn't help to get rained on from time to time $$. Can be a bit slow since it's a newer club that's farther away. If you don't know how to hustle: $50-$150, moderate experience: $200-$400. If the guys adore you and you play your cards right, $400+ on Friday
Hustle: It's average and changes based on the type of customer you get. Slow hustle for the white customers while the black customers are more used to girls that can be a bit aggressive
Dancers: Not too many on a shift, which is a bit of a double edged sword: less competition on the floor though you will hear patrons grumble about it from time to time. Mostly black though I'd say it's mixed. Even split between inexperienced and experienced dancers. I've seen traveling dancers roll in from time to time
