Additional Information
This club is hands down the best in the Detroit Metro Area. From a dancer's perspective, it has a few key points that work in your favor:
1. The location is right by the airport. Good traffic.
2. The building itself is GORGEOUS. The pictures on the website do not capture the vibrance. The atmosphere is lively and energetic. There are 2 levels. The first has the main floor, stage, VIP seating, and the "Champagne Room." You don't have to buy champagne to use the room. The stage is a long runway down the center. A circular section raises up and, voila!, a shower which is also used as a platform. Above the stage is a suspended Chevy. The car lowers for feature shows. It's really cool. The lights are difficult to describe. They are like something you'd see at a concert. There are 2 poles, one on each end of the stage. Performances are also done on the bar and 2 long counter type ledges that border the VIP areas.
Upstairs is another bar. The building has a warehouse effect in which the 2nd level looks over the first. There are 4 rooms where the dancing is done. Each room has a theme. My favorite is the Vegas Room. Every customer has his own seat so that there is none of this shoulder-to-should stuff. No need to worry about finding a spot as there is plenty of seating.
Dances are $25.
3. Flat fees. I love flat fees.
Valet: $5 min if you park
House: $85-$135 depending on when you start
Housemom: $5 min
DJ: $10 min
These fees seem high. When put in perspective, they really aren't. It's a fabulous club with qualified, spending clientele. Basically, you are paying a certain amount to guarantee your goal. Other upscale clubs charge these same fees plus 30% of your earnings. FC thankfully does not do this.
No house cut on dances!!!!! Every $25 you earn (after fees listed above) is your $25.
4. Stage time. I make the most when I am not on stage. I guess that you would not go up more than 3x/shift.
5. No stage seats. I hate stage seats because the whole "bewbie-in-the-face and gyno exam for a buck" is no fun for me. If a patron wishes to tip you, he must walk up and put it in your garter. The only thing you have to do is thank him. It's fantastic!
6. Clientele. I am not a Detroit native but hear about the club all the time from my travelling customers. The club seems to attract older, richer men. Flight Club is not cheap. Cover is expensive, drinks are expensive, food is expensive, dances are expensive, everything is expensive. This is not a place where kids just hang out. You need to be able to afford it, and this weeds out many unqualified people who would otherwise waste your time.
--------------
Overall, Flight Club is great. Now, I am going to warn you about the mileage expected because it is, afterall, Detroit. Grinding w/breast fondling is standard. You do not have to do it. But, if you plan on doing air dances, you better have really good game to get away with it. You must compensate for what you do not offer in dances with sparkling personality and good sales skills.
The reason the contact is high is that Canada is a stone's throw away. From what I know, Canada allows prostitution and its strip clubs along that particular border are said to be wild. Canada is your competition. Hence, more mileage.
For the expected contact level, I took away one star. Otherwise, I would have given it a 10. If you are a dancer around Detroit or passing through, definitely check this place out.
On a side note, I did not allow breast touching and still did very well. Customers, of course, asked. When I said no, they didn't ask again, kept their hands by their sides, and bought, like, 5 dances each.
