This used to be an excellent club to work at, but over the past 6 months it has degenerated into a complete dump. Since the owners of this club have opened up the new Sapphire club, they have refused to renovate (not to mention rarely clean) this club. Added to the fact that this is one of the few places where under 21 girls can still work, and that the management now shuttles the high roller customers over to Sapphire, there is simply not enough money to go around in this club. Most of the older over 21 girls who had worked at OGs regularly have now gone over to Sapphires. In a cheap attempt to make up for lost revenue due to Sapphires opening and the slow economy, they have increased the stage fees and will now hire anything female looking that walks in the door...so you will now see ugly women (and a few that i'm convinced are transvestites) working there.
The stage fees have now increased to $40 after 8 pm to work, $35 if you arrive before 8 pm. The off stage fee is now $40, so if you were to work night shift and plan on going into the VIP room or not do any stage shows, expect to pay $80 to work. If there is a big event or convention in town, expect to pay $45 for stage fee, and the off stage fee is increased to $45. So to work with no stage shows during those times would be about $90. There is no shift, so you can work as many or few hours as you please. If you decide to do stage shows, the djs will love you and happily put you on stages full of customers if you ask, and since there are 5 stages, if you are having a slow night and arent doing a lap dance, you can easily make extra money doing multiple stage shows. Prime working hours for this club are 10 pm to about 3 am during weekdays, with the crowds coming and staying much later on the weekends, conventions, and non family related holidays. Weeknights expect to work with about 100 to 200 girls, weekends expect about 400 to 500 girls.
Lap dances are $20 each for topless, and the VIP room pricing has changed...it is now a 2 drink minimum (so about $20 per each drink) and $100 for 3 dances back there. There is no fee set up for an hourly or half hourly rate, so if you want to sell dances by the hour you negotiate your own fee.
The dressing room is huge, but since money has been slow at this club, the housemom is no longer allowed to serve the dancers food, so if you get hungry, you have to order food from the restaurant next door (which the club conveniently owns, and another cheap ploy to make money). And you will not be allowed to bring your own food into the club. The hot water to the shower has been turned off to discourage girls from staying and working there too long. Also, the in house masseuse has quit, which is really a shame.
This is what you have to now watch out for at OGs...fake funny money! Some customers have been printing their own funny money, so if you get paid with this and then try to cash it out later, you will find that these vouchers are basically worthless. My suggestion is that if you are going to get paid by funny money, only accept it if you see the waitress charging his credit card and then bringing the vouchers to the customer . The management here will make no attempt to help you at all if someone tries to rip you off, much less throw out the customers that gave you the fake funny money. So not only has the clientele degraded at this club, but if you get an out of control, handsy customer, the floormen and management will do nothing to help you out, and will often blame YOU for the problem.
I used to travel to this club to work, but now it is simply not worth it...before you could ALWAYS make money at this club, but now on a bad night you could work 8+ hours here and still not make your stage fee back. Most nights, including weekends, there are more dancers than customers in this club. Plus this club now gets raided on a weekly basis, so if your showing up for nights you will now routinely see girls being arrested by vice, or worse, even harass you!
I used to love working at this club, so to see it going downhill has been a real shame, and nowadays I'm pretty sure you can work any other club in Vegas with alot less hassle.
