I have been working at the Dolphin 1 for the past year. I have had my best night dancing and my worst there. The customers range from drunk at the bar, blue collar, to multi millionaire. Lately with the economy in the dumps its has been slow, I mean slow!! There are only a few girls making money consistently. There are major cliques - stay out of the dressing room on slow nights.
There are two dance areas. The regular couch dance $20 and the VIP room. In the $20 area you need to have a knee length skit or gown on. The customer can not touch you but you can touch him from the waist up. Now they just recently changed the VIP room rules. You charge the customer per half hour. There are two ways to do a VIP. First one you can be in your gown or skirt and you pay the house $50 per half hour. Second you can be nude and you pay the house $100 per half hour.
The management is interesting to say the least. Prince is the head manager and Dan is the assistant. Prince is very grumpy and very selective!!! Just smile and nod around him. Dan is pretty relaxed and very friendly with all of the girls. Just remember do not tell Dan anything you would not want Prince to know. They do this good cop bad cop thing. MANAGER TIP OUT IS NOT REQUIRED!!!!!!!! I have heard of some girls having to tip them out. Don't do it!
The bar staff is really great can't find any better in the business.
Over all this is an amazing club to visit when the economy is good. Right now money sucks. Go to a smaller club in Portland!

UGH so I went and auditioned at the Dolphins I today out in Oak Grove, and didn't have a good time. I generally work at smaller clubs that are low hustle but am trying to try out a bigger club so I hit it up... First of all the floor manager was totally gross, came up behind one of the cocktail waitresses and grabbed her looked down her shirt over her shoulder, she pushed him off and was all like "dont look at my cleavage like that!" and he said "what I was just looking down.." He and the head manager were both in collared shirts and dress slacks, total "suits". The girls seemed nice but they told me a couple of new girls worked the night before and started drama on the floor, stuff was stolen from the dressing room, etc. The DJ asked what type of music I like to dance to and put on some rolling stones when I said classic rock. The two stages are low down on the floor so you can see them from the bar but the rack is high and narrow, you can't dance on it or do any floor work because the stage is so small. It's kind of like a square with a railing and a pole in the center, just big enough to do pole tricks. The head manager told me I wasn't what they were looking for, when another girl complained he was being unfair, she liked the way I danced, he said I could work on my pole tricks and come back, but he was such a dick about it and I got such bad vibes I doubt I will. I hear girls make bank here though, Private Dances are fully clothed which is weird but they sell well because you sit next to them and make light above waist contact, the VIP rooms are also nice and sell a lot I hear. Not for me but if you are into the hustle and can deal with the sleazy management try the Dolphin out

This club is in Milwaukie, OR, on Mclouhglin Blvd. House fees are: 11-6 free 2-9 $10 5-12 $20 6-2:30 $15 8--2:30 $25 Minimum $10 to DJ and bouncer, but you should tip them more than that. You won't make much on your stage sets except for Friday and Saturdays, most of your income is made up from doing couch dances at $20 a song, this is a dance where you wear a long evening gown and can touch the customer from the waist up. He cannot touch you. Most girls blow in the guys ear, nuzzle noses, light kisses on the neck, some talk dirty. Table dances are also avaliable but the couch dances are the main attraction. Management is OK. Sarge is the daytime manager and he is a great guy, very understanding, Prince is the night manager, he is a bit mean sometimes but generally nice as well. Neither of these guys will try to hit on you or make you feel uncomfortable. I have worked at the Dolphin I for about a year now. One thing that girls do not realize about this club is it takes awhile to begin earning money--regulars make up a big part of what you are earning. I would reccomend starting on days or weekday nights--weekends are pretty brutal and you want to get used to the club and the dances before trying to work a friday or saturday night, trust me. Please PM me if you have any questions or want more info!

The Dolphin has been around for fifteen years; the managers have been around for nearly as long and all know how to run a tight ship, and are also extremely understanding (I was told on the first day that if you don't come into work with a smile on your face and can't get one on there, then you'll be sent home. When I've asked to be let off early due to illness or overbooking, they've always been nice about it.) There are a lot of rules, but none of them seem unreasonable to me. All of the girls are nice and courteous; drama is rarely seen, particularly if you stay out of the dressing room! Guys expect to be asked for dances, making it easy to hustle and also to develop your own style. Sometimes it can be slow, with more girls than customers, but that's where regulars come in. The DJs, waitstaff and bouncers are all very nice. Apparently they are a bit more lenient about hiring girls here than at DII (i.e., you don't have to be a 8-10 to get hired); if you're working a busy Fri-Sat night shift, make sure to get there on time to get space in the dressing room. Rules are strictly enforced, so you never get guys trying to tell you that "all of the girls are doing [x]". Couch dances are easy sells.

Many dancers don't make much money here because they don't hustle at all. the house fees are as follows: Day shift (until 5pm) free 5pm-12am $20/ 6pm-close $15/ 8pm-close $25 There is usually 7-10 dancers on the slower nights and 20+ on the busy nights. Three stages, and all have poles. Good sound system, nice lights, nice management. Drama, drugs, and prostitution is not tolerated. Nor is giving contact during dances. The rules are strickly and universally enforced. Probably one of the better money "clean" clubs in the Portland area.
