Additional Information
The basics: pastie club, $10 cover on a Friday, $25 each private LD or $125 for 20 minutes. Occasional special, 2 LD for $20. Bar, food.
Went to this club on a Friday night, and it was fairly busy. There is a main stage with tip rail and 2 poles, and a small (6 x 6) satellite stage with pole. The club itself is pretty basic - black light effects, otherwise somewhat dark. They send out 2 dancers on the main stage at a time for 2 songs. The dancers knock the $$ onto the stage, and at the end of their set, pick up all the bills. I guess they split the tips. The downside of this - if you preferred one of the two, it's a little hard to give her some extra $$. In fact, I tried to give one of the dancers a nice tip at the end of the set, and she basically refused to take it from my hand. Very strange.
If it's busy, they send 1 of the dancers that just finished over to the satellite stage. This isn't bad - up close and personal, and you can since it's only one, you can make sure they are receiving your $$.
Dancers - appearance: a little something for everyone; tall, small, young, not-so young, one who has a Marilyn Manson thing going on; a couple with substantial junk in the trunk.
Dancers - stage work: pretty standard, although there is a pair that has matching costumes - do a 50's thing in poodle skirts, a naught maid act, etc. The one who is a little fuller figured is a hoot - loads of personality. First time I've ever laughed at a strip act!
Dancers - attitude: pretty crappy. Definitely no hustle going on here. While some were entertaining on stage, most had that zombie look about them. When they came off the stage, they'd walk by those sitting at the tip rail to thank them, then would disappear. Only one mentioned anything about a private dance to me, and then it was only "if you want to have a dance later, let me know." Only after her second set, and a hefty tip rail tip, did she realize that more money could be made. Other than that, the dancers paid little attention to the audience, and mostly hung around the bar.
Private Dance: went for the 20-minute deal with Melissa (the only one aggressive enough to offer a private dance). You go into a separate section that actually has another state, with booths along the sides. Pretty heavy contact, although, being the Puritannical Commonwealth of Virginia, dancers have to wear "shorts (underwear, not thong)", and have to have a top on. Regardless, Melissa provided a pretty good dance. But once again, at the end, no attempt to extend the time, etc.
Overall, an average club. Would be better if the dancers were more interested in earning more $$.
Sorry I missed Susan-VA this time out. Congrats on your calendar photo!
