Additional Information
The Lion's Den is now called Kittens and has been under new ownership for a little more than a year, I believe. They DO have a partial liquor license now, whereas it was just a juice bar before. However, it seems like they have not been able to get the word out and people stay away because they think there is no alcohol there. This club is SLOW. The club is completely empty more often than not. The club opens at 2 but it's very common not to start rotation until 3-3:30 PM since there is not a single person there. Half the customers who do come in are the type who claim to be "good friends of the owner" and won't spend a dime. I worked there for two months and did much better on day shifts than night shifts. It's really quite a frustrating place to work for a few reasons. First, VIP dances are all over the place. It's hard to sell air dances, period, but sometimes you can give light contact and management turns a blind eye and sometimes the bouncer will rush in and yell at you for breaking the 3-foot rule by an inch. As a result, custies don't know what to expect and won't buy dances. They don't tip onstage either because they are used to bored girls giving them lots of free attention and conversation and don't expect to pay for it. When you consider the fact that they offer free cover when it's slow (which is almost always) combined with the heavily advertised "free soup bar," you get a lot of freeloaders.
In fairness, I worked there for two months during the winter and a lot of girls said it gets packed in the summer since the club is right on Salisbury Beach, but this is a place where girls would be literally be ecstatic to hit $200 on a Friday night, so I took such statements with a grain of salt and didn't waste any more of my time there.
There are a few positives to this club. The girls are GREAT. Very down-to-earth, friendly, and low-drama. Tip-out is a flat fee of $35 per shift which covers everything, so there's no worry about stiffing anyone.
Shifts run 2-7:30 and 7:30-1.
Amateur night is on Wednesdays. They only award first prize, which is $100, NOT $500 as the website states. I was pretty disappointed when I won and collected 1/5 of what I thought I was getting. If you want a job just show up at amateur night - you don't have to win to be hired.
