Additional Information
I worked at Tens from June-September 2006. For the area, there is good money to be made there during the summer. Girls who had been there a long time said the club slows down a lot in the winter, but I didn't stay around to experience that.
You are required to work two shifts a week, plus one Sunday a month. Two of your normal shifts also have to be a Friday or Saturday day. The schedule is done on a monthly basis. The shifts here are LONG. Monday-Thursday shifts run from 4PM-1AM, Friday and Saturday are noon-6PM and 6PM-1AM, and the dreaded Sunday shift is 2PM-1AM. Besides this you can do a walk-in on any day as long as you come in before 9PM. House fees vary from $30 on a weekday shift at opening time to $80 if you walk in after 7PM on a Friday or Saturday. Tipping the staff is officially not allowed by management and not expected, so the house fee covers everything unless you want to be bought off stage. It's $25 to buy yourself off a stage set, and when the club is busy it's definitely worth it.
The worst thing about this club is the stage sets. During the day you just do three songs onstage, but at night and on the weekend they put four girls onstage. You do two songs on each side of the stage, so eight songs total, and then if there is a bachelor party you have to walk up two flights of stairs to the "skybox" and do an additional two songs up there. By the time you get back on the floor nearly an hour has passed. For this ten-song rotation you might make $100. Customers do not usually tip very well onstage compared to other places in Massachusetts, but it can still add up if you're more of a stage girl than a dance girl.
The dances are air dances, but you can get as close to customers as you want as long as there is no contact. Prices are $10 for a table dance out on the main floor or $20 for a dance in the small VIP section, which consists of eight or nine couches. Most guys actually go for the VIP, especially when the club is busy. Some girls do sell champagne and charge by the hour for their time, but without a separate, private champagne room this is a tough sell.
The most I ever earned, on a busy Friday night, was $170/hour average BEFORE house fees. Because of the long shifts you are pretty much guaranteed to leave with a somewhat resectable amount of money. I only left with less than $250 twice. My overall average, working both during the week and weekends, was around $65/hour after house fees. I routinely worked 13-hour double shifts on Saturdays and left with $1000-1300+. So this is one club where it is very possible to make "a grand a night" if you don't mind defining "night" as "all day." Weekdays are much more hit or miss - you can make anywhere from $300-800 for nine hours depending on the crowd and your hustle.
The dress code is gowns and shoes only. Coordinated two-piece sets are okay as long as part of the skirt goes below the knees. A lot of girls get around this by wearing a bikini under a robe.
The pole spins.
They only hire on amateur nights, which is Tuesday. You need to be there by 8PM and they only take the first ten girls who show up. First prize is $150, second $100, and third is $50.
The dressing rooms are really nice - big enough, clean, and new. There are three dressing rooms.
Very low-drama club. There's enough money to go around (at least in the summer) and the set up makes it virtually impossible for extras to occur.
Overall, a highly recommended club if you don't mind the dress code and strict scheduling.
