I worked at Gold Club in May of 2013. I was hired on the spot for the day shift. Mind, at the time I was slightly out of shape and terrible on the pole. They'll hire anyone because of the high turnover rate. I have danced in many clubs all over the country. GC was by far the worst experience I ever had. During the day shift there will be a massive crowd coming in for the $5 lunch buffet. I had performed for a room of about 300 people and walked off with $12. Read the Yelp Reviews. People rave about the cheap fried chicken and FREE entertainment. For the most part, the club was filled with talkers with no money. It was a painful experience. Many dancers use cocaine. They offer it to the customers. Even the managers seemed to be coked out of their mind often. They take out a lot of fee's. It was the most expensive club I've ever worked at. A lot of extra's happening. I definitely saw a waitress getting railed in the lower level champagne rooms by a trick and later heard her bragging about how she made $900. This was no secret to the management. If you are a clean dancer and entertainer you will have a difficult time competing with this. I was almost raped by a customer here. A high roller came in frequently and is paired up with the new girls. From my understanding he tips out the management and DJ's a considerable amount of money and then gets to do as he pleases. It's foul. I had to run out of a private room because he attempted to corner me with his pants pulled down and his penis fully exposed. The male manager later tried to put it off on me saying I should have "controlled the situation" by being a "stronger performer". Just avoid. It's a dangerous environment with little payoff.

I heard this was the best club in the Bay Area so when I moved here it was the first place I tried. Initially I loved the club and thought the girls were all super sweet. Almost too sweet. That changed really quick. As soon as the girls peg you as a top earner then turn on you very fast. Very catty girls. Always wining to the house mom trying to get other girls in trouble. Girls who have been there for awhile pay the DJ to keep you off stage. Tip outs are EXTREME. I had to tip out over $400 one night. I made good money there but left when the DJ wouldn't put me up on stage all night and they were having 54 girls singed in on a Tuesday. Like seriously?!

I put high for fees, because compared to clubs around the US, the overall end of the shift fees ARE high. For the area though, they're probably a high average. Expect to pay a percentage of every dance, as well as a basic fee. What you end up paying depends on the amount of dances and types of dances you do. On the worst money making night I've ever had, I've paid just 45 dollars (mostly in tips to dj/housemom/floor guys). On the best night I've had thusfar, I paid over 300. I recommend counting your money AFTER you pay at the end of the night. Less depressing on lucrative nights. Haha.

But seriously, management is great. Girls -will not- steal your shit, though if you leave some food sitting around, someone will probably eat some of it. The girls were really nice to me, but I don't really bug anyone. I've seen other girls get the cold shoulder for being rude, so I suggest you act like a human being.

Guys who don't buy dances tend to buy drinks, so watch yourself. It's easy to get a little bit too drunk in there.

OH. PS. The guacamole is really good. Have some.

Additional Information
Just started working here about 2 weeks ago after working at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club for 10 months. So far it's a lovely and glamorous club with some seriously polite and gentlemanly customers. I'm used to plopping down in someone's lap when I first meet them, but these guys are much more likely to offer you a chair. They are typically very sweet and don't want to say anything rude, crude, or offensive. Therefore, YOU must act similarly - Don't speak or act too slutty-like. It doesn't fly well here, and mostly just makes guys feel awkward. The men who come here are typically business travelers from LA, New York, Seattle, Chicago, and several other big cities. Because of this, there is a potential for you to meet some seriously wealthy dudes. What you've gotta remember is that these guys are hard-working, educated men. They like conversation, and they like GOOD conversation. And, like any man who needs ego stroking, they looooove when you ask them about their specialty and show genuine interest in what they know. Guys come here to feel important - not just to get some T&A. You're more likely to spend a few hours in a champagne room just talking to a guy than dancing the whole time. The girls here are lovely and very well put together. You definitely cannot work here without bringing your A game and making sure you look and feel your best. You also can NOT show up here past 8pm without your makeup or hair done. The shift starts at 7 and ends at 2, and they expect you to be ready to work the whole time. As far as I can tell, the relationships between dancers is very civil and sane (this is true of almost all topless clubs in SF). I've met a lot of really sweet, interesting ladies here. This club is topless, serves alcohol, and does not hire dancers under 21. In fact, they really would rather you be at LEAST 23 or 24 to work here. I got lucky by explaining that I'm not a big party girl and that they would never see me drunk here. The general manager, Patrick, is a REALLY awesome dude (providing you are not a mouthy, pain in the ass). The weekend manager, Glen, is also a chill guy, but a little more standoffish. The VIP hosts seem like really sweet, helpful guys so far. Waitresses are a little flaky, so you may find yourself making excuses for their slowness when your customer complains about not getting served. Ultimately, this is a competitive but very rewarding place to work. If you're in town and you think you're up for some good, hard work, come on over.

The Gold Club is a nice club, getting better and better. They are undergoing renovation, they lost the tacky neon signs, replaced the ugly steel rails with glass and silver banisters, carpet to be replaced soon. The girls get along due to the good management and rockin house-mama's. House moms have everything a stripped needs if you forget anything. Dressing room has nice lockers and an ok shower. Customers are travelers from everywhere, business men and locals. It's a great club that is clean, classier then anywhere else in SF and right next to the Moscone Convention center...making it PACKED when there are conventions, about every month.

The Gold Club is by far the best place in the city to work at. It's clean, comfortable and classy. Management runs a tight ship. But as long as you show up when you say you are going to, follow the rules and not cause any drama, your stay at the GC should be a positive one. There are three stages: main stage with a pole, bubble stage (small by the VIP/Champagne room area) and martini stage (small by the bar). Music format is anything not too slow and no hip hop. Dances on the floor are $20, in the back corner they are 2 for $60. Upstairs VIP dances are $30 (that's after the guy pays $10 to get up there for the whole night). Then there is also the red room upstairs where dances are 3 for $100. The Champagne room is rented out by the half hour. Lots of business travellers. Good money but have your hustle locked down. Don't let the slow nights discourage you. They end up being the money maker nights anyways...

:D Gold Club is usually best during weekdays/nights as it's popular with businessmen and conventioners from the Moscone Center. Bachelor parties during the weekend. The Champagne room is a hard sell, it usually takes a good hustle. Overall, a good safe club for the non extras girl. :-*
