Wow. I just had the worst time here. But before I get into my story, le me start off by saying this club is under new management as of maybe a year ago? And it is no longer a male club. Only women dance now. Also, I apologize for the lack of paragraphs; I swear I'm typing them :/ Okay, so here we go: I preceded my visit with a stop-off at The Sands and had a nice dance with a lovely Dixie. It was really slow there with only another dancer on deck, so I decided to head over to Centerfolds to see if things had improved since I was there last summer. I walked in and tried to hit up the ATM. Ends up it's not working, so I head over to a bank up the street. On return the hostess has figured out what's up with the ATM: it hadn't been plugged into the phone line. I pay my $15 entry fee, but the hostess can't get the register open. She sends me inside letting me know she'd be right out with my change. Before I had a chance to sit down, I was approached by a larger woman telling me she was the only lady working until another flitted by in the background. "Well, me and her". She was called up to stage and did her do, during which the hostess came out with my drink and change. While the larger woman is dancing, a tall, older guy and the other dancer are pacing around. The manager comes out and they talk. Then they all start wondering around the place. Ends up the other dancer lost her phone. Meanwhile, the first lady's finished her set and she comes over. This is where things go from silly to bad. The lady comes over and starts rubbing on me. I'm not interested in having a dance with her and I don't want to waste her time skirting around the issue, so I tell her "you seem like a really friendly woman, but you're a bit larger than my preference." It was my intent to be polite but to the point, and she seemed to take it as such. She then engaged herself with the search for the cellphone. A third, attractive dancer comes out, dances her set, and then goes into the back. The manager comes out, apologizes for their technical difficulties, and gives me a free pass for next time. I wait around for a while longer, then I hear a group walk past behind me and out the front. As they do a woman yells back something about being too good for fatties (it's hard to tell with the music pounding so loudly). I'm surprised, wait around a little longer, then decide I've been blacklisted by the girls. I take my (now empty) water bottle out front, hand it over to the hostess to be tossed, and leave. As I walk out I pass a car and, out of the corner of my eye, realize the large lady is sitting in there flipping me off. I continue walking to my car and leave. It was never my intent to insult this woman. But I felt, given the lack of other ladies in the place, I had no further recourse for telling her I wasn't interested. I don't feel it's my responsibility to offer an overweight stripper a sympathy lap dance simply for the sake of being polite. It's a shame because I might actually have been interested in utilizing my free pass. The decor is noticeably better than when I first went to Centerfolds—they did well do dupe The Sands's look and feel—and the manager and hostess seemed genuinely interested in providing good service. I'm just worried I'm blacklisted by the ladies now so I guess I'll be sticking with my old standby. If anyone's interested in my pass, let me know.
