This is like a knock off of the brass rail! For lower class clientel on the same st as the brass! I dont like the feel of this place for some reason went once wont go back! I feel like im in a grandmothers basement in the vip lounge! The girls are average nothing special most of them are 5. Staff is alright. Layout is same as brass to many stairs! And not enough space everyones on each others toes! They do get lots of clients tho!

I worked here as a schedule dancer, so I'm not sure what the fees for freelancers are. On stage, you do 4-5 shows a day and get $50 per day - customers generally don't tip on stage, but that's true pretty much anywhere in the city. You also don't need to worry about costumes - you wear one outfit all night, wear the same thing on stage as off. As far as dancing ability goes, you don't need to get that creative, many girls just walk around, but a good show is certainly appreciated by the custies and does get you more dances here. The stage is pretty small, with two stationary poles at the front, a waist-level horizontal bar at the back and a small horizontal bar on the ceiling at the front of the stage.

You get $20 for a VIP dance, one song- customers are allowed to touch anywhere except genitals and many do push this, table dances (in the back VIP) are $10 per song, no contact. You get to keep all your money from dances, the club charges customers a cover for both VIPs and makes their money off this.

Unlike a lot of clubs, they open at 11am, so you do have the option of working days - many of the day girls are friendly, less competitive and less bitchy than the night girls, you also have less competition in the day. On the other hand, fewer customers show up in the day and often you have to wait until 12:30- 1pm for ANYONE to show up. If you don't mind spending a while talking to customers, you quickly end up with regulars in the day, if you'd rather just hustle and dance, night is busier. The bouncers are WONDERFUL there, will help you out and back you up no matter what, good DJ and a lot of locker room space.

The staff and dancers at the Zanz are super friendly. I liked the general feel from day one ;D. The competition is not too bad; some clubs have too many of us. This club seems to be known for their Thai dancers. There are about 7 or 8; not too many to bore the guys. Other ethnic backgrounds are varied, at appealing ratios. The downfall of this club is the cover charges the club makes the guys pay; on the main floor there is a small $10 lounge where the guy pays $5 each time he enters. Some of us will offer $20 as well, but there is no touching for the guys back there. The other 2 VIP's have a $20 cover >:(which is good for the customer for the evening, and the dances are high mileage, $20 a song. The problem with the cover is obvious, it's expensive. The club also doesn't have a ticket or stamp system so the doormen rely on their memory of who comes in and out. The stage is small, some girls like it, some don't and avoid it. It is optional here, as with most Toronto clubs. You pay a $10 fee to work for the evening if you do a show, $20 if you don't. You pay an additional $10 if you come in after 10pm. Changerooms are average, lockers are relatively easy to get. There are small "apartments at the top of the building that out of town dancers can rent, but you have to check that out with management in advance due to availability. I like the club. Money is good, and I meet a large variety of guys. The location in Toronto for this place is perhaps the most ideal, Yonge/Dundas, close to our major mall, the Eaton Center and several other tourist traps. Several major hotels. Heart of Toronto. This was also the first SC to open here, over 40 years ago and has a reputation. Management is ok; they are good to us, but could be more ingenuitive. They (and the owner) don't bother to compete with other nearby places and don't take advantage of the huge potential the place has. ??? Our nearby competitors don't put any real effort in either. Overall, it's a good club.
