Additional Information
This is my 1st review and I'd like to do a few more when I have the time but I'm not sure what to write.
I'm a Melbourne based Dancer, but upon recommendation from a friend I worked about 2 months at The Firm before moving to The Palace.
It was a while ago, so I'm writing this from the best of my memory. It's a really nice club, well designed, classy interior. Has some stunning girls, as well as some more average. A House fee needs to be paid upon entry into the club, (If it's a night where a lot of girls don't make money and you also don't make any money this will be refunded) It's also a percentage club, so they take $15 from every 10 minutes which is $60. Customers are more inclined to go for longer dances, or even book a girl for the night.
Dance rooms aren't actually rooms. There are 3 rooms which are sectioned into dance cubicles by curtains. You need to be careful sectioning off your cubicle, so as not to disturb anyone else.
Stage sets are 4 songs, topless by the last song, choose your own music, you will need to do a few per shift. Each dancer is expected to complete a 10 Hour shift, at least twice each week. Day Shift is from whenever the club opens and night shift is from 7 pm - 5 am. It is a no touching club. Long Gowns must be worn until midnight, no bras beneath dresses. Tattoos are not an issue. Fines will be issued if you are late, don't make a shift, late for a stage set etc. The club management is quite strict. The Firm markets itself as a boutique club, there are usually around 15 girls working at a time, more on weekends, less during the day.
The problem with this club (at least when I worked there) is that it doesn't get many customers. There were some nights when only 5 customers would walk through the door. Also while the girls are all lovely, there is no "stripper code" here, if you leave your customer (for example if you have a stage set) be prepared for 10 other girls to pounce, (because there are no other customers) and this is just how the club operates. Dancers are even free to hustle guys sitting in the tipping seats, so usually the guy tipping you on stage will have another girl attached to him which isn't something I'm used to.
From my own experience and from speaking to the other dancers, girls generally make less money here then any other club I've worked at. That said I know of girls working at the Firm because they couldn't make money at the Palace. (One friend absolutely kills it there, yet didn't do so well at the Palace)
I was doing better then most of the other dancers working at the Firm but for me however moving to the Palace more then doubled my income. I have worked at the Palace twice since and it would be my personal recommendation for any girl wanting to dance in Adelaide.
