Some of the other reviews are outdated so here goes as I currently work here. You do sell drinks, 3 Sun-Wed and 5 Thur-Sat. You don't have to sell them, the waitress asks. You can make a playlist for the DJ and the girls dance to everything as there is a variety of girls. From country, to rap, to rock, and heavy metal. Only rule is no slow songs when it's busy, easy enough. The girls don't necessarily welcome you with open arms at first as the club gets a lot of first time dancers like me, and many quit because it's hard on your body at first. I've been there a little over a month and don't have issues with anyone. Basically be respectful in the dressing room and don't steal custies and you'll be fine. If you ask to sit with a girl with one customer they'll normally let you if your friends and of course if there is one girl worth 2+ guys you can sit. Customers range from out of towners to locals and all ages. It's not hard to sell table side dances, tipping on stage can be good at time. They have two for one on couch dances often which is when it's easiest to sell couch dances. Awesome club if you like NO contact and no extras. Basically, if you are a clean dancer you'll like it here. Once you settle in and they know you're gonna stick around for a bit everyone is great. Since it's a smaller club there is a family-like environment with all employees and dancers. Sure a few keep to yourself but if your respectful you won't have an issue.

You no longer have to sell drinks to customers here and they no longer have a "no rap rule", so that's changed since the past reviewers. The Mouse's Ear was the shittiest club I've worked at in the past 5 years. I usually prefer gentlemen's clubs where you can sell rooms or private dances, and that is not the hustle here at all. This club is no contact which seems nice, but makes it hard to stack dances. Table dances are $10 (club gets 2), table top dances are $20 (club gets $5), and couch dances are $40 (club gets $10). They do 2 for couch dances pretty frequently and this is when most dancers sell dances. Some of the girls here are shy and keep to themselves, but there is a large portion is loud, negative, and aggressively caught up in drama. I felt extremely unwelcome here and they bitched in the dressing room about how they felt like the new girls were taking their money. Super difficult environment with girls yelling about their abusive exes stalking them, slut shaming other women, and talking about how much they hate the job. It was a toxic environment to work in. On top of that, on the second say I was there, 2 customers faceplanted drunk on the floor. Apparently one was trying to hit (!!!!) a dancer. My attention was brought to it when the manager started hitting this guy and cussing at him. Then they left him face down on the floor until the cops came. When I later mentioned that it was scary to me and that kind of thing doesn't usually happen where I work, the manager said "Welcome to Knoxville, honey". Like ew what the fuck. So yeah, very unprofessional management, no bouncers, no private rooms. It's BYOB, so customers bring their own beer and liquor. There is a lot of tipping on stage bc it's a full nude club. The main stage doesn't have a pole though. It's got a low ceiling, so you kind of hold onto the ceiling and do spins and floor work. It was a bizarre environment. Management also wants dancers to work 4 days a week with 8 hr shifts. Either 4pm-12am or 7pm-3am. Most of the people here seem miserable. I made $200-550/night but I hustled to get it. I was charging $20 instead of $10 for table dances, which helped. There are definitely people who like to spend money who come here. I met a lot of cool and interesting customers, but the girls were very territorial about custies. Would not recommend this club unless you're desperate.

The things that I didn't like is the drink selling. Sun. through Thursday you must sell 3 drinks at 4.50 a piece. Fri. and Sat. you have to sell 5 drinks at 4.50 a piece. Customers complain about the drink hustle and will leave soon after arriving. Alot of the girls will not move around the room, so the girls that the customers want can't approach them. Girls will also attack the guys at the door that they know that spend money, sometimes the customer hasn't even tipped them a dollar.

This club has changed alot in the past year. The building is a little old but it's very clean. The girls are super friendly as long as you treat them with respect. There is very little cat fighting in this club. You can pretty much pick whatever type of music you want but there is a no rap rule..but alot of the time it's over looked..Just don't get pissed off when the manager comes in the dressing room and says no more rap....it'll only last a few nights. The more fuss that's put up the longer the ban lasts.I've found you make more money not dancing to rap because it dosen't appeal to the customers. The club has three stages. The two small side stages have poles but the large main stage dosen't.This is a good club for regulars and long term work.Just keep in mind that this club cycles..it has good times and bad..money and staff wise.
