Additional Information
I can proudly say that I have been at this club from day dot... the date I have listed (Thursday Sept 16th) was the night of its VIP opening. It is also the night that the owners consider as it's first night (I personally feel the next night - Friday Sept 17th was it's official first night due to THAT night being the open to the public night).
(UPDATE) There are now lockers available (BYO lock), a small bar fridge and microwave. BYO utensils. If you want tea/coffee, BYO kettle unless another dancer has already set one up.
I stared so early with this club due to wanting to take advantage of the "no tip-out" policy they had for any dancers that worked the first week. ;D ;D
Now.. the tip-out is done as such (still current as of March 2005):
Sun, Mon, Tues is $30 per night
Wed and Thur is $50 per night
Fri and Sat is $100 per night
This is paid up-front each night. If you do not pay, you cannot work that night. Also, only the girls who are rostered/scheduled to work that night can turn up. If you want to work a night you aren't rostered, it is best to contact the Dancer Manageress around 6pm to inquire if you are allowed to work that night.
There are two shifts you can opt to do (or leave it up to the dancer co-ordinator to assign for you):
8pm until 3am*
10pm until 5am
*Check with the dancer manager/co-ordinator whether you will be able to actually leave at 3am.
Please be aware that ever since April 2004, there is a "3am lock out" in effect in Surfers Paradise. This means that if a customer wants access to any of the clubs.. they have to be "inside" before 3am. They can then stay until the club closes (5am the latest). If they go outside during the 'lock in' time.. they cannot re-enter as the club is effectively closed to the public from 3am.
I personally opt for the 9pm start. I like the option of being able to stay or go at 3am.
If you want to know what the club looks like inside - visit the website.
Selling dances, right now, isn't a breeze. This can be due to.... not enough clientele in the club and/or way too many dancers working that night.
Right now, due to this club being so brand new, classy and elegant (none of the other clubs are like it).. it is suffering from "too many dancers" syndrome. This will even out over time as there are alot of dancers who are 'trying it out' right now... they may move on.
If you are an interstate dancer this club offers accommodation at "the house" in Paradise Waters for $20 per night. I personally have no idea about this house however, supposedly, it is a nice place. Ring the Dancer Manager to find out if there is room and any other information. Otherwise, you can find relatively affordable quality accommodation at any backpacker around Surfers Paradise.
The dancers themselves are all "good quality". They want the same rep. that one of the other clubs locally has... that is has good quality dancers inside its doors. Right now, they are doing auditions instead of what most other clubs do.. just ask a few questions and hire you.
The customers per dancer can vary just like any other club. It can sometimes be to the dancer's advantage (5 customers per dancer) or to the customer's advantage (2-3 dancers to choose from per customer).
What customers expect for their $50:
Full nude strip tease involving two-way contact for 10 minutes. You can touch the customer and the customer can touch you. NO MOUTH CONTACT either way. Keep your head away from genital area of the customer. No touching your or the customer's gential area.
Most dancers will state "above the waist" for allowable touching. I personally am comfortable with everywhere except the spots the GString generally covers (pubic area, between my legs, inner thigh, butt crack).
There is a good mix of customers right now due to the club being so new that word is still "getting out" about it... tho' most people do bring some $$ with them when they come to this club. It is not a club to be cheap in... just by the decor alone you can tell.
Most customers will buy the $50 dance. If they don't buy (or can't afford) the $50 dance.. encourage them to tip the dancer(s) on stage. For as little as $5, most dancers will give them a little stage side show/attention. The more you tip, the more 'attention' you shall receive.
(UPDATE) Management is in turmoil at the moment (March 2005) as the current (in my opinion incompetant and power abusing) Dancer Manageress is "on her way out". They havn't officially fired her and replaced her.
There is only one tip-out and that is paid at the beginning of the shift. If you do not pay, you cannot work. Receipts are NOT given (unless you BYO your own for them to sign).
Dress requirements for dancers: All dancers are to have 2 changes of dresses per shift. Bring an elegant one, preferrably with only one slit (front, side or back). Long dresses are to be worn 'on the floor' whilst you can wear whatever you want on stage. Theme costumes are encouraged for your stage perfermance.
Stage performance is 15 minutes long (approx. 4 or 4.5 songs depends on the DJ). You must be topless by your second song and naked (full nude) by the start of your last song (the fourth song usually). You must 'cover' to do any open leg work on stage.
If you have any further questions about this club - please contact me 8) ;D
I personally love it here tho' if you are a dancer who prefers to work within a club that has a more 'party' type of atmosphere - go to Crazy Horse. This club, whilst the most beautiful of all of them by far, is not suited to everyone. Crazy Horse and Players are really the only other competition.
