Worked here for about a year recently (2015). If you're a straight (or pretend to be bisexual) white person who tends to hate on other strip clubs and call all other experienced dancers "whores," you'll fit in. Not even exaggerating. It seemed great at first. Then I noticed all the nonsense. Don't try to work here with any previous experience, you won't get hired because you could potentially outshine the owner/managers daughters and niece. The son is also the DJ, and the sister in law is another DJ. Awkwardly family oriented. Blatant racism, even though they claim to hate the N word, they're okay with refusing dances to foreign or non-white customers. You're put on as an employee. You make minimum wage, and house keeps ALL your dance money unless you make over $400 a week in dances and then you only get to keep half of what you make after that. When there's 13+ girls a night and not even 40 customers that can be hard. You're not allowed to have any similar outfits to the owners daughters or do any of the same pole tricks. Drama level is high. Don't try to work here if you're a feminist or POC. As both, I tried. They make a bunch of rules if you do anything that make customers notice you more than the daughters. The owner refuses to listen to any suggestions from customers. The place revolves around the daughters. I've seen girls get fired for doing better than the daughters. Honestly though it's the perfect place to work if you have racist tendencies and don't want to actually make a decent amount of money (good luck affording anything by VS while working there). If you just need a little money here or there, you'd be good though.

Additional Information
Kuma Charmers is a great club to work at. Management is lovely, girls are mostly friendly, and it's highly regarded as a great value and a "hidden gem." Locals love us, and tourists come back every year. It is definitely a small club though, so don't expect the $500 nights you might be used to elsewhere. $200 is a decent night here, and $400 is extraordinary and rare if there aren't races going on in Watkins Glen. A great place to start out a career as a dancer. I have been here for quite some time simply because I LOVE the management, and I don't think I could find any bosses who care about me more. If you leave and go home sick, they'll have you text them to let them know that you got home okay. It's a family sort of vibe. Also, much of the info on this page is incorrect. Dances are $10-$100, depending on level of nudity, time, and privacy. Kuma's is open Mondays and Wednesdays-Saturdays, closed Tuesdays and Sundays. Hours are listed on the website. See for yourself.
