Additional Information
Worked at this club Autumn 2013. This clubs has good potential, and you can make money here. I know a girl who travels from South England every week to dance there, so that must say something. However, there are some things that could definitely improve!!
AUDITION:
My audition was non-existent really. I turned up and they asked me if I had danced before. When I said yes, they asked me a few questions and hired me on the spot.
HOUSE FEE
It's a sliding scale house fee, and they vary it depending on how busy the club is for the majority of girls. This is OK if the club happens to be dead, but when it's busy they can get really greedy (they charged £200 once for house fee on a busy night). There is no commission however.
You also have to pay a 'bond' of £200 which the club takes off you so you are essentially 'bonded' to the club. You get it back if you leave the club (with your 2 weeks notice), provided you abide by their rules.
DANCE PRICES
It's a tiered system - £5 topless (I don't think any girls does them!), £10 nude, £20 rude (most girls just extend the nude dance by a bit). £20 is what most is sold the majority of the time.
VIP is £120 for half hour (girl gets £60), 1 hour is £200 (girl gets £120) - it includes drinks or a bottle of basic champagne. Best to sell VIP only if club is on the quieter side as you can make a lot in back-to-back dances if club is busy.
MAKING MONEY
On the whole, noone has problems making money. This is more a 'wanna dance' club, but like anything, you make more by indulging in a bit of banter (as it's mostly stags, footie fans and travellers). Dances take place in a shared room and the VIP room is upstairs with a few private booths. The VIP is much nicer compared to downstairs but is way too small. One night I got turned away from VIP 3 times because there was no space, which is ridiculous.
SHIFTS
Must work a minimum 3 per week or you get fined £40. If you want time off, you need to give 2 weeks notice.
On weekends club open until 6am. You can't leave early.
CHANGING ROOM
Shit, shit, shit. It's tiny, cramped and dirty with mirrors from 'house of mirrors' that you cant even do your makeup in. Toilets are horrible. There was a leak one shift which went all the way into the club floor. They really ought to use some of the housefee to do the club properly.
STAGE
Non-existent. Its a pole in the middle of the floor on the same level as the punters and just in front of the private room. You can't even perform because people will honestly just bump into you when they are trying to get to the private room!
I found the girls quite welcoming and friendly which was lovely. Housemum (Amy) is not the most approachable person or most professional, but she keeps things in relative order.
