I came to apply and the person at the front desk said the manager was not there made me fill out a app and took a copy of my i.d & said the manager will call if he wants me to work. Mind you I get hired at every club I go to apply so I’d definitely say I’m not ugly or fat or anything like that so how would the manager know to hire me just off a I.d picture... seems like B.S to me

Pink Monkey is nice because it's BYOB and therefore customers don't spend a lot of money on drinks and have more for tipping and dances! VIP prices are expensive (starting at $200!) and the cheapest dance is $30, so your money adds up quickly. The 15% tip out on top of house and $40 to house mom and DJ is kind of a killer (I've tipped out over $200 before...) Which is frustrating when you make $300 and walk with $80. It's very hit or miss most nights, meaning that there are nights when a lot of people are spending money, you're always busy, and walk with a LOT and nights where you make nothing or owe backhouse. Management to be honest can be a little intimidating and unpleasant at times, but if you work hard and show them you're a valuable asset to the club and keep to yourself you'll be okay. For the stage show, pole tricks are not necessary but a lot of girls do them, so it's good to know a few basic things. Having said that, the girls are so friendly that they'll usually teach you some stuff on a slow night (there's another stage near the DJ booth in the back with a pole.) Dress code is pretty open and bendable, though they want you to wear something that covers your butt. Can wear sheer or see through after midnight any night. Clientele usually have money and are easy to get into a room on a good night. Contact in VIP room is technically "light contact" though guys WILL expect to touch you all over and be gropey so be prepared to dodge guys or stand your ground. This also adds a layer of competition because there are girls who let guys get away with a lot because they don't think they can get guys back there any other way. Security is lacking a bit. I've had guys who were trouble in the VIP room and nothing has been done so again, be prepared to set your boundaries and stick to them and be firm. Also, wear a watch or count songs back there because you will not be told when your time is up on a busy night. Trust me, I have been back there for a 15 minute for 30 before! Overall, good club but could use some improvements. There is def. money to be made there if you can work the crowd.

Small BYOB club that has about 10 girls working... on a busy night. It's going for more of a high end club, but falls a little short. I did not enjoy working there as it never was busy enough for money to be flowing.

Last night I auditioned at the Pink Monkey and was really excited to go and see the club. It has nice luxurious decor with marble floors that cater to the clientele from the financial district. The club is also in a great location. Right downtown and walking distance from Union Station. However, this club is for pole dancers. You MUST be able to put on an excellent pole show. The main stage is the club's main focus of the and the managers expect the dancers to be pole stars. To the management pole skills are a dancer's best attribute, over looks for sure. While auditioning I saw about 10 girls working/or in the DR and they looked good but not like supermodels or playboy stars. If you have an extra 5 pounds I would still audition as again your pole skills are what will get you the job. The pole on the mains stage spins which can be quite disorienting. When I auditioned at 7:30pm on a Tuesday there was only one customer in the club. He liked my show and tipped me well. Unfortunately, my pole skills are not that great and I didn't get hired despite the happy customer. From what I could see in the dressing room house fees were not that high. 40 if you started at 7pm and worked 4 shifts a week. If you worked 4 shifts a week for a month you also got 2 free house fee days. The schedule seemed flexible and you could work between 4-2 shifts per week. A lot of girls apply to work at the Pink Monkey and it is very hard to get hired. I saw the manager throw out a lot of dancer applications. The dancers that do work there seem to have been at the club for a long time so it probably would be a good place if you could make the cut.
