This club is amazing. It's gorgeous. Customers can't stop dragging you to VIP (which you DON'T have to pay the house for, by the way) and it's so easy to make money here it isn't even funny. BUT. The management is horrible. So horrible that even though I raked in almost 2k in a two days, I had to leave.
First of all, let me start by saying that the head manager is a douchebag who plays favorites. He'll hire you and tell you that the club has a strict "no drama policy" (how many times have you heard that one?) and then when you walk into the dressing room to change all you will here is girls talking shit about other girls. I've never been to a more dramatic club.
A lot of the girls have known eachother for a while so they're "cool" with eachother and they have that pack mentality when you start working there that you won't last for long. The dancers are reasonable, with the day shift girls being pissed off single moms, and the night shift girls being hot younger girls (some were young as 19.) If you keep your head down, you should have no problem.
One of the dancers is the manager's wife and one is his daughter. Uh, do I really have to say anything else? That's so freaking creepy. The head manager will talk shit about any girl who isn't 5'7 blond with fake tits and fake tan. Girls Next Door are NOT welcome--you can be hired, but don't expect management to like you. I'm short (5'2) and very fit--but because I don't have tits, the manager didn't like me. He even suggested that I get a boob job when he hired me.
I'm Asian, and there wasn't another Asian dancer while I was there...there were a few black girls (2 or 3 out of 20) and I don't remember there being any obvious latina girls. The music is a majority of rock with some house music, and the occasional country girl. Customers are almost all from Luke, the stadium, or Avondale/Goodyear. The ones from Avondale/Goodyear are the guys who will spend money. I've never ever sold a dance to a guy in the military, so that tells you how much they want to be rubbed up on .
Dancers are $5 in the chairs Monday-Weds, and the rest of the week they are $10. The booths that stretch around the room are $10, but my favorite part is that the customers cannot touch you at all on the floor. A bouncer will come up and tell them to watch their hands after the dance if they were only lightly touching (thus not interfering with your money) and if they get really handsy, will interrupt the dance to tell the customer to back off. The VIP is where all the touching happens. When you get hired the manager will tell you their strict lapdance rules (yes, there are certain things you cannot do in a lapdance there) and that they allow booty cupping in VIP, and that's their incentive. No one ever tried anything more than cupping on me, and no one was disrespectful in VIP.
The stage is one 30ft brass pole static in the center, with a 20ft brass spinner on the right side of the stage. The stage is hard, and the mirrors on the back extend 20ft. They only play sports at the bar, which means everyone's attention is focused on you if they're on the floor.
Tip out is interesting. One night I made $700 and I'm not used to making that much money. So I tipped my DJ $100 and my Manager $100 and my doorman $50. The manager asked me, "That's it?" Uhm, I gave everyone 15% when there is no percentage based tip out. Minimum tipout is 10 to dj, 10 to manager, and 5 to each doormen...and you want to seriously say to me, "that's it" on my first day? Really?
I met one girl there who made bank even though she was average looking. She had a weird name, and was a redhead, really white skin, was new to dancing but worked a pole relatively well. I met her again at the new club I went to, and she told me about her drama at XPC. Apparently she was friends with someone who was dating one of the DJs and when her friend broke up with the DJ, the DJ got all up on her case about it. And when she went to the main manager to resolve the issue, he called her a dramatic bitch and fired her? That's cool, super professional explicit. I hope that the owners see what a douche their main manager in. Daytime manager rodney was a sweetheart, but the other guy was such a tool that I don't even remember his name. You'll notice only a handful of girls there have been there for a long time. I hope the owners realize how much money they lose from girls who make customers there and take them to other clubs because they can't stand the disrespect on the house's part.
Bottom line: if you look like barbie and can keep your head down, go for it. Otherwise, expect to talk yourself into staying there at the end of every night, because the manager will say nasty things to you because you aren't a vegas show girl.
