This is a really crap club to work at! The levies are very high, management hands out huge fines for almost everything so you feel like you're constantly doing something wrong and there are far too many dancers. Being 2 minutes late, not being dressed according to some arbitrary rule, being 30 seconds late to stage, chewing gum, being on your phone, being in the changing room too long and so on all gets you fined. The one good thing is there is no touching allowed between the legs AT ALL. The club hires SO MANY girls it's almost impossible to get dances. There are always at least 3 times as many girls as there are customers, which makes life a constant hustle and competition with other dancers. They will hire anyone that applies, and if you're slightly overweight they will fine you for being fat and give you two weeks to lose it after they've hired you. You also have to work 5 days a week for 9 hours, don't get choose your own days and have to pay fines if you come in later than 7 or want to leave before 4. It's like being trapped and takes all the fun out of what could be a great way to make money! The club likes to lie to girls and tells them they can make 9000 dollars a month. This is definitely not true! Most girls don't even make half that! If it was once good money, it no longer is that. Don't waste your time especially if you're coming from overseas. You will become one of very many treated by management as just a number. Not worth it!

This club is absolutely beautiful and the clientele is great, you can meet some really interesting intelligent generous people here if you stick with the VIP area. This club would be amazing if it were in North America. Most of the girls who work here are brought in from Eastern Europe , are spectacularly gorgeous and are worked to death. They expect girls from other places to do the same otherwise the Russians might get out of line if they realize they are being held illegally. Management including the women who run the visa/accounting aspect of this are truly horrible people. They will put on a smile when you get there and turn if off as soon as you're in the system. They rip you off to no end and try to charge "fines" for all kinds of crazy things like being 30 seconds late to stage (even though they never say your name ahead of time) or smoking while you are standing up. If you are used to dancing in the states or Canada, you will have a fit working at this place. You have to work a full 9 hours 6 days a week and absolutely ANYTHING goes here, there are VIP rooms upstairs with beds and showers. The worst is that if you book through an agent, like Best Dancers they will absolutely not give you any support which is something you want in South Africa. I GOT FINED FOR NOT DOING A VIP WITH SOMEONE IN THE BEDROOM AREA. So basically I paid $600 BECAUSE I WOULDN'T F*CK SOME SMELLY INDIAN GUY! Independent contractor law in South Africa is basically on par to the the United States and other western countries and they are violating them extensively. Now if you are down with all that, go when it is busy, like mining season. I really loved the people I met and made some good connections and stayed in Cape Town for 5 months and it was AMAZING. I have been back 3 times since Mavericks and intend to live their permanently but on my own visa and certainly not their slave driving thinly veiled whore house.
